Quantity Over Quality?

Introduction:

If you go to a store and ponder as to why walking into these places felt so much more whimsical years back, you would think the world is becoming dull. You’re probably right. Nostalgia isn’t the one to blame.

My Opinion:

Circumstances like these are where I want to emphasize that artists in every field are important. The funny thing is, artists want to be paid to create art, there’s just not enough money that can be made. This might be a big ask, but there needs to be jobs again, where stores pay for creativity to attract customers. Especially since all they want is money... it wouldn’t hurt.

I know a time like that won’t come any time soon, so in the meantime, here are some things I'd advise you do; Purchase retro décor online. They last longer and promise you the best quality (You could also look at other brands that craft as a profession; I like to look at commissioned artists on social media). Create your own décor. Bring some friends over, do it together. Not only can you come up with great results, but you can also have memories confined in your work, making the item(s) much more meaningful. But if you really need to purchase from these shops, be very mindful of the value and why you're purchasing.

Commercials:

A little off topic, Commercials used to be so fun to experience during the season. Coca-Cola (a multi-billion dollar company) is now using AI to create their commercials.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, there is a Global crisis when it comes to being authentic. We cannot go on with 2026, living miserable and paying our hard earned money to feed brands that don't even put the effort to make stunning decoration or anything beyond that.

On a good note, this information can hopefully help you rethink how you are going to move ahead with Christmas and other events that roll out, in the future.

**That's really all from me. Merry Christmas!
